Service FAQs – please read before you book. For every service: Staten Island only, Mon-Sat 7:00 AM-8:00 PM. We usually reply in about 2 hours to confirm appointments; you pick Morning or Afternoon and we confirm the actual date and time the same day we receive your order. The standard $125 prepaid booking covers the first hour plus travel within 10 miles ($2.50 per mile beyond 10 miles), booked for the next day or within 24-48 hours, not same-day. Same-day emergency starts at $199 for the first hour, 10 miles included, advance confirmation required. Pay first, then dispatch. You can supply your own materials, or we can buy them for you: shopping time is $75/hour, agreed clearly in advance, materials at cost with receipts kept on file. Every job is covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty: report problems by call or text to 917-859-4428 or email handyman@cmgbridge.com; in normal cases the same worker returns within 48 hours. Labour is covered by us, materials by the manufacturer warranty; pre-existing problems are not covered.

GENERAL HANDYMAN REPAIRS
Q: Can one visit cover a list of small jobs? A: Often yes. Send your list and photos to handyman@cmgbridge.com first so we bring the right tools. On arrival we verify the list; work included in the prepaid hour goes ahead, and anything extra gets a firm capped quote for your sign-off and payment before it starts.
Q: What if you find extra damage after opening a wall or fixture? A: We stop at a safe point, show you what we found, and quote the extra work on site. If you decline, we finish what the prepaid hour covers, tidy up, and explain what remains and what it would cost. Unapproved work is never charged.
Q: How is a second hour charged? A: It is quoted on site after verification and capped at the quoted price – if we quote 2 hours, you pay for 2 even if it runs longer.

FLOORING INSTALLATION AND REPAIR
Q: Does the $125 visit install my whole floor? A: The $125 covers the first hour and verification – measuring, checking the subfloor and confirming materials. Full installation is quoted firmly on site after that check, before work beyond the first hour begins.
Q: Who supplies flooring, underlayment and trim? A: You can supply them, or we can buy them for you at $75/hour for shopping time, agreed in advance, with material receipts kept on file.
Q: What affects the flooring quote? A: Room size, floor type, subfloor condition and trim and finishing needed – all confirmed during the on-site verification so the capped quote is firm.

FOUNDATION AND STRUCTURAL WORK
Q: What happens at a foundation visit? A: The worker verifies cracks, levelling and moisture issues against your description and photos, checks tools and materials, then quotes any work beyond the first hour on site. Nothing extra starts without your sign-off and payment.
Q: Is structural work included in the first-hour price? A: The $125 covers the first hour, including assessment. Larger structural work is priced in the firm on-site quote after verification.
Q: What does the warranty cover here? A: Our 30-day workmanship warranty covers our labour; materials are covered by the manufacturer warranty. Pre-existing problems are not covered.

LIGHT REMODELING
Q: Can a kitchen or bath refresh be finished in the first hour? A: The first hour covers verification and the first hour of work. A full refresh is quoted on site after we check the actual scope, and the quote is capped.
Q: Who buys paint, cabinets and fixtures? A: You can supply them, or we can buy them for you – shopping time is $75/hour, agreed in advance, receipts on file.
Q: Can I split a remodel into stages? A: Yes. If you decline part of the quote, we complete what the prepaid hour covers, stop at a safe point, tidy up, and leave you the price for the remaining work.
